Our time in the Northwest

So after two months spent in the Seattle area, we are back on the road. This time our destination is Buffalo New York to see Niagara Falls. But let me review our time back "home". Arriving on May 22nd we landed at our daughter and son-in-law's home in Shoreline WA. It was a pleasure to see them again along with our two youngest grandchildren Annaleigh and Amelia.

We had many adventures while in the area including a trip to the ocean at Seabrook Cottage Rentals in Pacific Beach. There we had our two children plus four grandkids, ten in all.

We also spent a weekend at our son and daughter-in-law's home and took Annaleigh and Amelia with us. They had a great time with Lucas who was happy to have some more kids to play with.

We had the good fortune to spend a few weeks with a good friend from our home church in Maltby. George Lee. He had full hookups for us; an unusual perk for a single family home. George is a bit camera shy so the only photo I have is one we took in Apache Junction last April. George also had his annual 4th of July picnic where many of his relatives come from far and near to enjoy each other's company.

Our nephew Matthew was married to a beautiful girl named Sonja and the wedding was held at Lord's Hill Farms just east of Snohomish.

Several of our church friends had us over for dinner and visiting while we were in town and we thank the Pakkos, Hamlins, Kenn and Dianne for the great food and friendships.

Since I am a ham radio operator it was important to participate in the annual Field Day event in late June. I've been a member of the Radio Club of Redmond for many years and they have their Field Day event in various locations each year. This year it was held at the home of Bob AE7FN. I arrived Friday afternoon and helped put up antennas while others got the tents and radios installed. Bob and his wife provided the food and drink. A great time was had by all.
Here I am knocking 'em out in the CW tent
